What is the difference between Cellular Forté® and regular rice bran? A. Rice bran has significant amounts of IP-6. In fiber, bran, or cereals, IP-6 is bound to protein. For the IP-6 to be absorbed from the gastrointestinal system, IP-6 must first be released from the protein complexes. Phytase, an enzyme found both in food and human intestines, can break down or degrade IP-6. The longer it takes IP-6 to be released from the bran, the more time is available for the enzyme to degrade IP-6. Though bran may contain high amounts of IP-6, the full benefits may not be obtained. Pure IP-6, as found in Cellular Forté®, will be absorbed before the enzyme has a chance to destroy it.1 Q. What is the source of the IP-6 and inositol in Cellular Forté®? A.
