Fyodor Urine Malaria Test tells if a Fever is due to malaria or not in just 25 minutes. For in vitro diagnosis of plasmodium falciparum malaria. Fyodor test detects the malaria parasite proteins shed in urine of patient with fever. Simple one-step test with no need for blood samples, reagents or any other equipment. Content 5 Urine Malaria Test (UMT) Strips; 5 Sample Cups; and Instructions for Use. Test Procedure Collect your urine in a clean dry container; pour urine into Sample Cup up to the ridge; Dip the white end of the Strip into Sample Cup with arrows pointing down; Allow Strip to stand in Sample for 25 minutes; and read test. Reading Test Results Positive (Pos) for malaria is indicated by two red lines on the test strips; Negative (Neg) for malaria is shown by one red line on the test strip; Invalid (inv) result is shown when there is no line on the test strip, in this case you have to repeat the test again. Caution The UMT has not been evaluated for use with refrigerated, frozen or preserved urine samples. Clinical performance of the test has not been established for malaria due to non plasmodium falciparum species.
