Previous owner's (a descendant of Foote) bookplate on front paste-down and notes in ink on front free end paper with some commentary on a few pages as well. Damp-staining to bottom edge of several pages and light aging throughout with occasional spotting and soiling. Black and white illustrations. A good reading copy. Nathaniel Foote(1592 - 1644), was an early English immigrant to Connecticut. He was part of the settlement party that founded Wethersfield, Conn, the oldest town in that state.
