I just want to share this with you all. I bought this “game” the families and couples version and I read the reviews on how it was a cool way to engage conversations with your friends, kids, and family (there’s a kids version btw). I got the families version cause I figured I’d like to use it with my kids and friends and family members. To sum up my story I went through a bad divorce and dad was the hero and I was the villain basically so it caused my children to really disconnect from me and see me in a different lighting. Needless to say our relationship isn’t where I wished it would be for being their mom. So I bought this hoping it would work. My daughter is very private, very shut down towards me and is going through her teenage phase, she’s 12 my son is 8. One 5/7/2020 I woke up for work (working from home due to COVID-19) and My daughter happened to wake up at the same time so we went together to get breakfast, let me just say even asking her to go with me took some convincing and work. Long story short as we ate breakfast I decided to play this. Let me just say we lost track of time and played a little over an hour. She loved it and my daughter is just someone that won’t open up and is a huge introvert with me. She opened up a lot! I she picked a card and got “tell me something you think I don’t know about you” and So I opened up and talked to her about my childhood and the different types of abuse I went through, why my relationship with mom and dad isn’t so well and so much more. I was crying and it made her realize I wasn’t the person her dad claimed I was. We bonded so well with this game! I learned things about her and she learned about me. Best thing I have ever gotten for my kids. Hopefully my son opens up with this when we play together, he was asleep during our moment of bonding. My daughter liked it so much she wants to play again later tonight! Because I’m not a good conversation starter with my kids and I sometimes come across so blunt or weird at times it’s a good and fun way to help you get that bond started. So I guess What I’m trying to say is whether you have a good relationship or not with your kids or family or loved depending on what your aiming towards it has a lot of questions you’d never think about asking or answering! Totally recommend it.
