Description Translation of Dīgha-nikāya The first collection of the Sutta-piṭaka containing the long discourses of the Buddha. A number of the suttas expound important doctrines, e.g. the Mahānidāna-sutta (15) and Mahāsatipaṭṭhānasutta (22).
